Taekwondo custom
by Beauty Sought Khristin on 04/06/18
About this design:
A couple of years ago I started Taekwondo. It was around the same time I began working with PMC. I asked my instructor; who also owns the school, I am actually fortunate enough to attend one of the campuses he teaches at, if I could try and make a pendant using his logo. So I got the logo, and have since made several. This is one from one of my fellow classmates and friend. She had seen some of my work and the pendants I had made for him. So with his permission, since I don't own the logo, just a rubber stamp, I made this necklace for her as a custom order.
It features a locking clasp of my own design (at least I've not seen it in use by others) which enables her to wear it during her shenanigans without fear of it getting lost. The pendant is made of legal grade fine silver (99.999% pure). It is NOT blue, it is reflecting the sky and surrounding area. It has a mirror polish on it. I did dip it in LOS (fine silver takes longer to patina but it CAN be done) and then put everything in my tumbler for a fine polish. I hand polish prior to dipping.
Components:
PMC3 fine silver, sterling silver, star cut lapis from LBRead the comments (or add your own)

Little Round Chick says:Great design. Love it! Taekwondo is an excellent martial art for an child with ADD.
My son started learning taekwondo when he was 7. He had ADD and it helped him learn to focus. He earned his black belt when he was 13.

Moogie says:Khristin, this is amazing! Your PMC work is very professional. Did your instructor have the logo rubber stamp? Or did you hand carve your own?!
This is one I wish I could see in “real life”. I’m glad you explained about the reflection of blue because I sure would have thought you colored it. (And why would anyone color gorgeous 99% silver?!).

Crystal Canary says:The spiral wire links paired with the star cut Lapis is a great backdrop for the handmade pendant. Somehow those links just seem to support the theme–well, at least in my head. Super work and integration of elements & concept.
