Loom challenge

About this design:

You may recognize this from the cover of a recent beading magazine. The article was “ new ways to use your loom” - sounded good to me! Wow! What a challenge it was! The warp threads are wound directly onto the coiled wire bail ( see second photo ) and the leather cord is tied directly to the loom. I found this very difficult to keep an even tension when threading the warp threads.
Other new (for me) techniques were - making the coiled bail, using colored thread as warp thread, making a picot edge, knotting the end of the fringe ( those knots just would not go where I wanted them! Lol). The warp threads become the fringe.
Do I love it ? Yes!
Would I make it again? Yes!
I would love to know about any challenges YOU have encountered with a new project/technique.

11/0 seed beads, orange C Lon nylon thread, 6 lb Fireline, 2mm leather cord, 18g copper wire

It is very pretty! I think I need to get familiar with my loom before I try this,

I would agree that there are a number of challenges here. You handled them well and produced a great piece. How did I miss the magazine? Guess i”d better do some research!

Wow! You certainly rose to the challenge. Your necklace is beautiful. It is so cool how the warp ends become the fringe.

I’m so glad you shared this! Not being familiar with beading on a loom, it’s great to see what you’re up to. This is a gorgeous piece!

You did such a great job with this challenge. I do not own a loom. I’ve said several times that sewing beads isn’t my favorite thing to do. But the loom is more intriguing now! Although I have too many gizmos already, I’ve learned to never say never when jewelry is concerned!

Wow! Beautiful work. I don’t think I could do it. It just looks so complicated.

Never worked with a bead loom, but LOVE loom-beaded pieces. Oh my gosh! Yours is gorgeous and impressive! I’m still working on the challenge of making a beaded tassel!
