My Lil Buddy (with little Lil Buddy)

About this design:

I found a perfect portrait of my kitty Boots (aka Bootsie, Boot-scootin’ Boogie, the Bootster) in a Russian hand painted black agate bead! Lima Beads has wonderful silk cord and copper findings. The bead cap/ bail is from my stash. It was a challenge trying to get him to pose without chewing up my necklace - he loves to chew on cords! He’s a good boy, tho, our Lil Buddy!

Lima Beads 2mm silk string, smoke; LB 2mm silk string, latte; copper findings.

The likeness is remarkable, like the artist almost had him or a littermate for a model, just embellished the colors a bit for contrast. I love the Russian Artist Pendant beads and have a couple myself. The detail is incredible. I’ve strung (9) multiple strands of seed beeds (black w/ sparse random gold) joined at points with larger beaded gold heishi spacers for one choker+ length design; still thinking on designs for the next two. I adore the multiple silk string idea, and the bail and bead cap fit beautifully, no fuss. Also impressed you got Boots in the frame, looking at camera/phone long enough to get the perfect shot! What a guy! Great bead find, great design with it, great kitty!

Thanks so much. EPB, that multi-strand choker seems gorgeous! I have another bead I just love but can’t decide how to showcase it. As for Mr. Fluffypants, I cheated a little and had to bribe him by saying his favorite word: TREATS. That got his attention!

Oooooohhhhh …. aaaaahhhhhh! Boots is so handsome posing with his necklace … he’s like … “yes, yes this is mine, the artist loves me”. A lovely, lovely piece.

What a special piece and special cat! Both are so beautiful. I can’t get over how much the pendent resembles Mr.Fluffypants. I really like the choice of leather. Looks great with the pendant.

Mr. Boots Fluffypants thanks you for the nice comments! Actually, kye, the cord is LB silk string in latte and smoke 2 mm. We are the 2nd owners. Bootsie’s original owner named him Boots for whatever reason. ( I would have chosen Chester, or Allistair, Aloysius, or some distinguished name befitting his Ragdoll pedigree and demeanor ) Anyway, he advertised for someone to adopt him and my cat-loving hubby and I could not resist!

Excuse my mistake I should have read the component list before commenting. I liked the color you chose and it looked like leather at first glance.

What a beautiful kitty! Is he a Siberian? I have a Siberian my mother named ” Boots” and after I inherited ” Boots” I renamed her ” Lagertha” after the Viking warrior queen because she is feisty and independent! But your Boots is a cutie!

Oh, know what else is funny? We both have the same first name, spelled the same way, have ” Boots” cats and like beads :)
