moon bracelet

About this design:

This idea just came to me when I opened my package from lima beads. I hope my pics show up on here. I'm new to this.

What a fun design! Your pics aren’t that bad, really. You’ll get better with more practice. I always struggle with my photos.

Photo is fine, but I’d like to see the other side. The moon as a stand alone on the yarn is a great idea. Both are beautiful, so you didn’t need distractions! Good work!

This is quite pretty! I enjoy how you used the button! I would never have thought to use it like that, so cool! I made a necklace once using that same cord, it accidentally went through the wash and came apart while in a pocket! But it wasn’t reinforced like in a braid or anything… Still love that yarn though.

Thanks for the feedback. I will try to attach another picture of the backside today. I, too wondered what would happen if it went thru the wash. Braiding it made it quite strong. Also… because the yarn is so busy the metallic silver thread I used to sew the button and snaps on with blends in perfectly. Once again, thanks for the feedback.

Just saw this today. Love! Wonderful bracelet idea! I’ve had that same sari yarn and am at a loss what the heck to do with it. The yarn is crazy and varied in thickness, so braiding it would work well. And your photos are fine. Mine always load upside down & sideways.

Great idea braiding that yard. The wonderful moon button really grabs your atention. It’s nice to see so much color in a design.

Oops, that should be yarn. Not yard.

Also… another question. I use my phone for taking photos. The phone is an LG and the picture quality seems so poopy. Is it me? What do you use?

I use an LG and take all my pics using it. I also edit with it too. It is just practice. I have found it is harder to get pictures when you’re wearing the piece. Also you can enable the verbal command to take the picture. I also use Adobe Lightroom to edit my pictures, the free version, then I use Snapseed to put on the border with iWatermark+ to watermark my photos. I do everything on my phone.

Thank you for the techs tips, Khristin. Although some of your advice reads like Greek to me, I hope to catch up to the 21st Century. :)

I think I need to take lessons from Khristin. Most of that was over my head too. I use an old Samsung phone for my photos. I think it’s hard to get a good shot so I take a bunch. I go outside and take mine. I think diffused light works best. So I take them under a tree in the shade when it’s sunny. My favorite is when the sky is overcast. You get the best color. That’s my low tech way. Hope it helps. :)

The color of your moon is fantastic! Love the color and design.

You ladies with you phone photos… I don’t really know how to use a phone for pictures and editing, egad! I’m a chicken and use a camera on a tripod then edit on the computer. :)
