Colorful Dragonfly Choker

About this design:

YAY! I found some time to bead!

I’ve sure missed being active in the gallery—so much has been going on. It’s been crazy busy for us including home remodeling out of necessity. I also managed to squeak-out a new crafting room in the process. :) Bright walls (from chocolate brown), happy colors, and of course, a bird-themed place to enjoy my beading.

I love chokers with large focals – add a little color – and there you go! (Wish it came together that easily!) I wanted a fun, bright piece to kick-off the warmer weather & sunny days ahead. (I am so tired of being cold!) Don’t mind the ‘little visitor’ in one of the photos—he wanted to say hello to my dragonfly. Plan on making a bracelet to coordinate—hope to post that too.

Have fun beading everyone!

Green Girl Dragonfly, Citrine wheels, China Chrysoprase faceted wheels, Phosphosiderite, Zola filigree rounds, Quartz dyed, Czech flowers & leaves, Crystal square rondelles, TierraCast bail & hook.

The colors you have chosen for your choker definitely show, “Spring is here!” Time for flowers, bees, butterflies and dragonflies! Great design, fantastic color.

I grew up in the mid-west and I was always thrilled at the first hint of spring. It was finally time to be outside, to go for walks in the woods and pick my mother’s flowers. :)

Thank you everyone! I stepped out of my comfort zone with these brilliant colors to wear. All I could see when I was making this was blooming colorful flowers, foliage budding on the trees, & green grass. Yes….I’m soooo ready! My new beading room has my desk butted up to a large window looking outside….and the lifeless trees are so in need of some leaves!

I am so glad to see you posting again CC! I have missed you. Your necklace is so beautiful. It just sings spring. There is so much to admire-the fantastic colors, the use of the wheel beads, the dragonfly focal. My favorite part is the one leaf that ever so slightly breaks up the symmetry. Well done!

This is lovely! Perfect for spring and the colors are just so wonderful. I would never have thought to put those colors together, and I especially love the asymmetry you have with it. Great piece!
