April showers bring May flowers

About this design:

I promise there won’t be anymore shots of these ink earrings ( well maybe one more). I’m doing a nutcracker festival in November- I guess I better get in to the fall and Christmas colors!

Lucite beads, alcohol ink, diamond glaze, Swarovski crystals, and assorted findings

The flowers are blooming with their brilliant, colorful pleasure to the eye! You have made an appealing line of beautiful earrings. I’d love to see some of these beauties dangling from chain in a focal lineup–would be a perfect addition to your collection. Great work & thanks for sharing your process thru these postings–I’ve learned a great deal about using alcohol inks.

I enjoy looking at your creations so much. These look more opaque than your other posts. Is it because of the diamond glaze? Beautiful work!

These have silver mixative in with the colors. The others had gold. Guess what- I just found mixatives in snow cap, copper, pearl, and gunmetal. Oh yeah I bought each. Also found some real light colors. On Amazon.- I’m going to try another experiment by just dab in tiny amounts of ink then putting the hair dryer to it. Hopefully it’ll blow the ink and give a water color look. I did “pour painting” and it turned out beautiful. Have any of you guys tried that? You tube! It was crazy fun- my granddaughter and I did it on spring break!

Robin, I watched some ‘painting pours’ on YouTube some time back and added that to my list of things to try. I’m glad you had fun with your granddaughter doing it together–those are memories she will remember forever. Any pictures of your creations?? Would love to see how they turned out! :)

Thought I would chime in now! I’ve been enjoying all your creations. I’ve worked with alcohol inks too but not a ton. I love their vivid colors. I did a pour over onto a square glass container. I’ll take a pic & post.
Actually, what I did first with lucite was use nail polish. My daughters left some crazy polishes at home. I’ll try to find or take pics if anyone is interested.
