About this design:

Wanted to do a project that wasn't seed beads. Looked through my stash and found some beauties from LB. The sparkle of the goldstone beads is just amazing - Hope you can see it in he close up. Also used some 4 sided tiny tube beads - these were great. I poured them on the table and none of them scampered away and jumped on the floor!

Components:

LB Bronze Hematite matte 4 sided tube 4x2 mm, LB Goldsone Round 6 mm, LB Ocean Jasper Round 4 mm, LB China Chrysoprase stick slice focal 6-8 x 20-28, and Leopard jasper beads 8 mm

You forgot the monkey. He’s too cute to forget. Love the design and color combo. The China crysoprase sticks are terrific even if you did call them “sick.”
That is the kind of mistake I make…leave out a letter, transpose letters, misspell words…. :)

What an adorable necklace- you’re right, the goldstone is beautiful! The little monkey is a cute surprise- I had to look twice when I saw your name- did a big close up looking for the seed beads

Thanks for the comments! I think this is my first necklace without seed beads. The little monkey just called out to me.
LRC – Ok – I fixed my mistake. My keyboard has not been working properly lately… so I shook it upside down this morning and out came a blue seed bead. I wonder how many more are in there. Now trouble with the space bar. Uh oh.

BLE, My friend, don’t you know seed beads and electronics don’t play together well? Try Toast crumbs but no butter! :)

Thanks Ladies. LRC – I know what you mean. Beading, computering and eating all on the kitchen table. What’s wrong with me?

I, too, love the little monkey! He adds a touch of playful whimsy to the piece. Gemstone slices are so fun to work with, and the Goldstone creates nice contrast in this design. Yes….keep seed beads away from keyboards! I’ve even had them pop into my cup of tea!

BLE, Does the word absent minded ring a bell? I frequently drink hot tea while working and forget all about it. By the time I remember the tea is no longer hot. I just put ice cubes in it and pretend that’s what I wanted….. then I forget the ice tea, the ice cubes melt and it is tepid tea again. Good thing I can drink it at any temp. :D

CC- Ha! – beads in your tea. So Funny.

LRC – I usually drink coffee and yes, it’s always cold. So I heat it in the microwave and forget it’s there.

Love tea too – I like Darjeeling what do you ladies
    prefer?

Love Darjeeling, Lady Gray and Jasmine also Lipton black tea. I’m not too particular….most of the time. I even once tried tea with turpentine. I was painting in oils and swished my brush in the tea. I didn’t realize what I had done until I took a sip. YUCK! :(

This is so beautiful! All the components you chose work great together. The bead pattern creates a nice rhythm too. Lots to admire here. Especially the unexpected little monkey!

Thank you so much Kye. I had the Chrysoprase slices for a while and really wanted to use them. It took me some time to put the pieces together.

LRC- I’ve never tried Lady Gray – is it a take off of Earl Gray? I think I’ll skip the turpentine tea though. Ha!

    Little Round Chick says:

BLE Lady Grey is similar to Earl Grey but the flavor is much milder. I like it better than the Earl Grey. BTW I misspelled the name of the tea – it is Grey and not Gray. It is from the Twining teas.

CC- Most of the time when I use seed beads some of them wind up running riot on the floor. My floors are hardwood so the beads can and do run far and wide.

    Beady Little Eyes says:

LRC- I’ll see if I can find some Lady Grey – I find the Earl Grey too strong also.

CC -Yeah, it’s hard to believe how bouncy those beads are – I can rarely find them until I vacuum.

Bigelows! Lemon Lift- it’s been awhile since I’ve had it- hope they still have it! I love Gold Rush diet tea with lemonade- 1/2 n 1/2

Robin – Yeah – Lemon Lift with extra lemon squeezed in. I’m gonna get some too. Never tried Gold Rush – I like the idea of 1/2 n 1/2.
