Robin – This is so pretty. Is it a bracelet or a necklace. The beads are great and the bee pendant is beautiful. Love your design. What are the beads made of?

This is a necklace- the beads are mood beads- I’m not sure what they’re made of but when you touch them they change color.

Really? That sounds like so much fun. I think I’ve seen mood rings before but never beads. That’s great. Love your work.

Oh, I remember mood beads, they were so fun. Was blue calm?

Yes blue is calm or relaxed, green is active, yellow is tired/lots more. The mood jewelry was popular in the 60’s and early 70’s.

The color in the beads and the design are great. Love the bee. Mood beads are way out there and such fun to wear. I haven’t seen mood beads in jewelry in ages but every so often I see the beads for sale on line. Isn’t it amazing what can be found in the stash?

How fun! I remember wearing the mood rings. I have a few ‘mood’ barrels in my stash somewhere–thought of the old days when I bought them. Who knows where they are now as the stash has grown way too large. I’ll come upon them one day. I really like how you used the orange czech beads in this piece; perfect for the time frame–you remember–orange, yellow, & green. Yes, I remember, our carpet was chartreuse green & my bedroom walls were tangerine! Love the bee bead focal too!

My granddaughter (she’s 12 and going in to 7th grade) was holding some of the mood beads and they turned green which means love. I told her she would fall in love for the first time this year at school. Hoping for a touching and tender moment, she was totally grossed out and said she rather eat tomatoes (she hates tomatoes)

    Beady Little Eyes says:

Robin – That’s so funny. Although it’s probably better for her to eat tomatoes. (my favorite food)
