"One of these mornings You're going to rise up singing"

About this design:

Making my necklace and thinking about summertime. So I had to listen to Louis and Ella sing the song "Summertime". Then I had to listen to the whole Porgy and Bess opera. Wow. Then I remembered that I had some corn on the cob beads. So it's pretty corny but my daughter said she likes it. The pendant is removable. Yay for summertime! Thanks to Diuto Jerry for her youtube video on making the flowers.

I wear chicken earring on occasion, so I don’t think it’s corny at all! As a matter of fact, I think it’s adorable! Perfect for a picnic or BBQ. I picture a sundress and hat (with one of my eco dyed scarves, of course)

The spiral in the beading weave amazes me. You have a wonderful eye for colors–these are soft & combine well together. It’s nice to have options, and being able to remove the pendant for a more sophisticated look apart from the ‘BBQ’ is a nice feature. You could create several pendants to go with the colors with different themes, and switch them out in accord to the occasion. Beady is overflowing with creativity!

I just hit the button, scrolled up, and another pendant appeared! Just what I was thinking! :)

Made another pendant. Guess I’ll call it a sun. Could be a flower.

Love the spiral rope. What is the name of the rope? The colors are divine. The corn pendant is super for a BBQ or Shrimp boil! The flower pendant is very pretty. That sun pendant is awesome! I love it.

You are really on a roll! Great necklace and all of the add-on are fantastic! I especially like the sun/flower or sunflower.

Now about Porgy and Bess… you certainly get sidetracked but that’s OK, I work with music but only instrumental. I”m easily sidetracked too. Just think what we could do listening to Weird Al Yankovic (sp?). :D

Thank you all so much. DL PM – i’m not sure what this stitch is called – It has an inner tube of beads (yellow) and the other beads go back through the main spine. It uses up a lot of thread. I think it’s just called a spiral stitch. I learned it from a lady who spoke only Russian. So I couldn’t understand a word. A very easy stitch.
LRC – Haven’t thought about Weird Al in decades. Ha. So funny.
