Daisy Chain

About this design:

Recently, I've been working on techniques that I haven't done in years. One of the first things I learned on my jewelry journey was how to weave a daisy chain. I started wondering what a daisy chain would look like with my usual chainmaille. This necklace is the result of that question.

Weave Got Maille jump rings for the Twist of Fate and Byzantine chainmaille weaves, 18 & 20 gauge Artistic Wire, various Czech glass beads, 6/0 seed beads and my handmade clasp.

I thought the flowers were Czech glass just like Robin did. Your daisy chain is fantastic and very cheerful. Love it!

I thought the flowers were another type of bead, the seed beads are great Idea.

Kye, I also love the blend of techniques in this piece. The flowers are so cool in this design, and I like your color placement of them–perfect balance. I usually ‘fiddle’ way to long, moving the colors to & fro, to get that type of equal visual weight. Horse eye beads are a favorite, and I like how you added the brown ones in the line up too. Lovely work! :)

I especially like the way you use the larger size of seed beads for your daisy chain. I wonder if the daisy chain could be worked in some other kinds of beads besides seed beads. I like your necklace!
