More Wire Work

About this design:

Another pair of asymmetrical necklaces. One with very organized wire shapes and the other free form wire shapes. Both are made with Czech glass beads and my favorite copper chain.

I think the time has come to retire the asymmetrical necklace designs. They have had a good run but it is time to move on.

Components:

14ga and 24ga wire, Czech glass. copper chain

LRC – Your designs are beautiful. Sorry I’m so naive about wire. But is part of the wire flattened (the 2nd necklace)? I love the free form with the blues and greens. And I don’t think you should retire the asymmetrical designs. Just lovely.

The curves & twists of the free-form shape are so refreshing especially with the crystals you added. I’ve much enjoyed your adventures with wire; these asymmetrical designs have been fascinating. Look forward to seeing what you come up with next! :)

Wow! This is so pretty! And I also might add I literally saw this picture on Pinterest last night! I was looking at it and immediately recognized your work! I need to figure out how to do that. It is beautiful.

Thanks for all of the compliments everyone.

BLE, Yes there are areas that are flattened on the second necklace. It adds variation in the texture and provides a subtle difference between the round wire and the flattened sections.

Khristin, periodically I come across one of my pieces on Pintrest and it is always a surprise. I guess if I really look at the jewelry pictured there my designs are very different and I don’t recall ever seeing anything like my asymmetrical ones. I guess I stand out which is hard to do when you are only 5ft tall. :D

I’ve really enjoyed your asymmetrical designs but understand the need to move on to something else. I bet you’ll go back and make more because they’re all so beautiful! Both of these are great. I saw your work on Pinterest too. I didn’t know LB would do that. Anyway, I can’t wait to see what you’re up to next.

LRC I get that! There’s been a couple times I’ve seen my work there too, and I didn’t put it there lol!

LRC I love the one with the blue and green. Your assymetrical pieces create a lot of interest! There are so many combinations of wire, design and colors of beads that pieces don’t look alike at all.

Love this necklace- I think the asymmetrical look is always in style, especially when it’s as original as yours. I think it’s awesome!
