Galveston Bay

About this design:

Spent a couple days in Galveston. The bay was beautiful and the waves -we’ll i could watch the waves for hours. It’s mesmerizing!

A kyanite cross pendant with white deposits on it. I also used seed beads, howlite beads, kyanite chips and silver findings and Swarovski bicones.

Galveston sounds like the place to be. That cross is so unique and beautiful. You wrapped it in a creative and unique way which really adds to its appeal. The whole necklace is just full of chunky goodness.

Love your creation. That kyanite cross is so unusual. Kyanite is one of my very favorite gems.
Galveston, however, has bad memories for me. I got stung by jellyfish when I was young & still have a scar on my ankle. Eeek!

Beautiful Robin. I love the way you wrapped the pendant and added seed beads. Such fun. And the silver findings are really pretty with the beads.

yikes Moogie-jelly fish really sting! We went to Moody Gardens and saw all the gorgeous fish and the jelly fish are amazing (in the tanks)-not so much on the beach. The rip tide was pretty active after that crazy storm earlier in the week. Anyway, the white deposits on the pendant reminded of the white waves. I was trying to make the seed beads resemble a starfish-(it needs one more leg). I’ll probably redo it.

Ohmygoodness! I just now saw your seed bead starfish, you lil genius! I love that! Gotta show daughter, for sure!
It’s funny that I had gotten out my white 6mm howlite to mix with African turq rondelles several days ago and yesterday I took it apart lol (an esp moment?) :)

Whoa moogie! Bet that freaking hurt!
