About this design:

Hi ladies! I’ve been a beading fool for the last couple of months- preparing for a couple of fall craft shows. The above pictures are a sample of my layout plan. I think I’ll get another deer head for the other side of the crates.

Components:

The crates will have hand painted earrings, lamp work earrings. The deer heads have casual necklaces. The jute trees have dagger earrings. The white tree has garden earrings. The dark tree has Christmas earrings. The bird house will have misc. earrings. Necklaces and bracelets here and there. I’ll have 3 8ft tables. One dedicated to the jewelry chest my husband makes. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Any ideas on how to tie up the corners of the tablecloths?

This is cool and very bohemian. From the photos I am not sure what you mean by needing to tie up the corners of the tablecloths, but a trick I have used for too big tablecloths is to tie the corners together under the table. If you want to have them drape more, you can tie a length of light rope to each corner of the tablecloth and then tie the ends of the rope together looser, to your liking (still under the table). Does this make sense?

Robin – 3 8 foot tables?! Wow, you are going big. This is amazing. I’d love to see more photos. The jewelry looks so pretty on the mirror. Love your idea of using the trees for earrings. Hope you knock it out of the park.

The tablecloths go to floor on all sides, so that leaves a lot bulk at the corners-any idea on how to maybe bunch the corners up and maybe put a ribbon or something to hold them. Also it concerns me that someone could trip on them. maybe i could just take the corners and fold them toward the back and pin them in place.

I agree with BLE… 3 eight foot tables?!! I admire your ambition and hope you knock ‘em dead! With your excellent arrangement that is a definite possibility.

Now about those cups in the background, should they worn with a leather cord or a chain or a velvet ribbon? What would be the most comfortable way to wear them? :D

Robin – would folding it in half work? Then it would only go onto the floor on 2 sides? or maybe just fold the outside edges so that they’re even with the point on the lacy one. Very pretty.

I will wear these cups with hot tea in them as a balancing act while singing an old Andrews Sister song- bahaha! That was funny LRC! The cup in the right upper corner is from occupied Japan. The little red crystal has my grandmothers name and date 1911 (toothpick holder and the little Bible is dated 1855. I love antiques! I’ll be one soon – got that blue n white card that says so!

The Andrews sisters Robin? Wow! Gotta catch your act! What time and where? Should I wear a raincoat just in case the tea splashes around?

Good luck with the craft show and the tea cup balancing act. :D

I know the Andrews sisters? My moms era, she loved to sing boogie bugle boy. I guess I could sing staying alive / had to learn that for CPR! Anyhoo,,, when I told my grand daughter about this, she just looked at me and said seriously, nanny. We laughed! She’s going to put her rings that made at one of the ends of the table, a long with a few other things
