Two Hole Beads

About this design:

So every time I walk past my bead stash the 2 hole beads mock and laugh at me. "Ha ha ha.... can't figure out what to do with us can you..Ha ha ha.." They needed to be shown how to behave. This is what I came up with.

Components:

Light green nib-bits, 2 hole square tile beads 6 mm, superduo beads - beige and brown 2x5 mm, seed beads 11/0 cream and brown travertine, toggle clasp

BLE, you did an outstanding job of showing those beads who does know what to do with them! They won’t be taunting you for a while again.

BLE, Way to go!! I guess you showed them who’s boss! I can’t stand smart mouthed beads especially the itty bitty ones with the itty bitty holes. Make them toe the line!

You certainly put them in their place and made a gorgeous design. Love the color, too. You’ve made a febulous necklace with those smarty beads. :D

Well rats… that was supposed to be fabulous not febulous. My keyboard is acting up again.

Thank you both for your comments. They really were getting on my nerves. I also made another design but I’m not sure I like it. It is a dainty one.

LRC – You crack me up. I think you need to have a word with your keyboard.

This is simply lovely…. I really admire beadwork like this. I have a whole box of itty bitty beads that I just look at and think someday I’ll know what to do with them.

BLE, I need to have WORDS! with my keyboard. :)

Sweet Jane, Have WORDS! with them. They are cute but sneaky little things. You may not get any thing made with them but at least they will know how you feel. :D

Oh how beautiful is this?! The design and colors you used are just gorgeous. The pale green nib-bits are beautiful with the beige and brown. I’ve never seen nib-bits before. I need to check out the new two holed beads it seems. I’m glad the beads were mocking you because they inspired you to create a fantastic necklace. I just love your work Beady.

Thank you so much kye. Sometimes things work out when you least expect it. Those 2 holed beads really intimidated me.

BLE- your necklace is awesome! The color combo is beautiful! I occasionally have words with my beads too (as they throw themselves intensionally off my table.) I usually just tell them fine- the vacuum is your fate! I do need to work on my verbiage because I sound like a drunk sailor instead of a sweet grandmother!heehee

    Beady Little Eyes says:

Thanks Robin – Yes the vacuum is my friend also. My cat likes to sleep near the window where I bead and every once in a while he’ll stretch out and knock my little bead boxes on the floor – and they almost always open up and the beads are everywhere. Guess I must sound like a drunken sailor also when that happens.

Beady, I’m so glad you showed them who is boss! My 2-holes ‘mock’ me too…and yet I keep collecting them. I think your two designs are wonderful–both color combinations are great; and I love how you were able to use both the nib-bits & crescents in these designs. I sit and look at both of those shapes and wonder how to use them….guess I need to watch some You-Tube videos. Beautiful focals on both necklaces–you are such a resourceful beader.

Crystal – Thanks for your encouragement. I think you can see from the photos how I made them. It did take a few tries.
