Tree Frog With Speckles

About this design:

Wanted to use the tree frog beads so I came up with this design where I was able to use lots of seed beads. I put the glass plate photos first because the colors are more true.

Components:

LB Tree Frog Speckles Corrugated Round 11 mm, LB Hyacinth Speckle Porcelain Timb;ed Rondelle 5x7 mm. 11/o seed beads, Tanzanite, light brown, topaz AB, and gold

Beautiful Beady- love those green beads- they really look great with the golden shade of your seed beads! By the way, your beads called my beads and I heard them whispering something about LRC and Crystal – it was a bit disconcerting to hear my beads say “ keep that on the down low!” Maybe they’re talking about Holiday gifts, but my mind went to a conspiracy. Scary thought to think you could find your beads all over the floor. Oh yes, they also mentioned the word cats. Hmmm

    Ha.
Thank you, Robin. Now those nasty little beads are whispering?! I think you should string them tightly. Cats…. aargh.

First they mock, then they whisper….what are we going to do with all those little things? Maybe put them in a jar and tighten down the lid! I really like the twisted seed bead rope, and how the golden color creates a nice backdrop for the porcelains. Beady, you must buy your seeds in bulk–I can’t imagine how many you must have. How do you store them? In cases, bags, tubes, ????

BLE, This is a great design for autumn made with one of my favorite color beads. Love all of the colors especially the color of the corrugated tree frog beads. Are these the froggie that went a courtin’? If so better watch out for the sword and pistol cause he’s got them by his side. And those beads that are whispering….IT’S A COMMUNIST PLOT! They are advocating revolution and they have conned the cats into helping them. Soon they will over run your house. Time to sequester the red beads. They are the ring leaders.

You ladies have me laughing till I cry. Had to look up the froggie that went a courtin. Listened to Burl Ives. Hilarious. A communist plot – yes the red ones must be locked up.
Crystal – Put the red ones in that tightly twisted jar!
    Yes, yes….

Crystal – I just keep my beads in little plastic boxes that pop open when they hit the floor.

BLE What a gorgeous necklace! The colors would be perfect for fall, but also for spring and summer. They remind me of a frog invasion they had at a motel in my hometown. My parents stayed there one of our trips “back home”. They warned my friend and I to be careful if we went to visit them because there were some frogs around the doors. Some was not the right word, I would have said an invasion of little baby frogs. We had to tip toe through the frogs, not the tulips!

Pam – so funny – tiptoeing through the frogs. That must have been quite an experience. Reminds me of a Steinbeck novel – Cannery Row?

This is really a beauty. I’ve almost ordered those Tree Frog beads many times. I like the way you used them sparingly in an asymmetrical design. It’s a fantastic designed necklace as usual with lovely colors.

kye – Thank you so much. The tree frog beads and the hyacinth speckled beads have nice large holes so all of the string went through easily. (9 strands)
