"O Tannenbaum"

About this design:

Christmas tree Lariat (more like a scarf) with optional loop. I like to make the herringbone stitch with an even number of beads so I shifted each tree over by one bead and added a sticking out bead to the side of each tree. There are 3 close ups of the beginning of the lariat. I will post the other 3.

Components:

11/0 seed beads in many colors and finishes

What a great design and such wonderful colors. Perfect for the coming holiday season. I love the forest on this piece!

Question…Are you trying corner the market on seed beads or do you just have your own warehouse full of them?

Gorgeous piece! You did an awesome job with the beading. Maybe some day I will be half as good as you are. It sounds like you created your own pattern.

Thank you ladies. I do have a lot of seed beads – that’s why sometimes I make patterns using lots of colors. That way I don’t run out of one color so quickly. (no – I’m not trying to corner the market -although I’d like to)

Pam – yes this is my pattern – I just changed the colors in the tree as I went along. Still – it was a little confusing and easy to make a mistake.

Hope you both enjoy the fall.

OK- Beady now I’m in a quandary-I thought the last one was my favorite until I saw this. This is so adorable- I love it equally. I guess the answer is your store! Anyway back to the lariat-I love the colors you chose- and as always-you have mega skills!

Thank you Robin. This one was easy to compartmentalize but I have a big stack of seed bead boxes and tubes sitting beside me. Needed at least 3 colors for each tree. Still working on my store – gives me a headache.

As soon as I saw this I knew this was Beady Little Eyes. I think every artist has a particular style and I knew before I looked that this was your work. It’s awesome by the way. So much time and so many little beads. Perfect for the holidays.

Thank you all so much. Your comments are so encouraging. This one took a long time – it’s 10 beads across and with each row you gain 1 bead in length (the short way).
