About this design:
I had a bunch of cut copper shapes cluttering up my work area. Got out the tin snips and did a little trimming on them. What to do now? Well, there were these peanut pearls I had been using on another project and hadn't put away yet. They added to the general clutter on the work table. Then there was a piece of chain about 18 inches long that was also part of the clutter. I needed to clean up the area. So I put them all together and made a necklace. And that was the origin of this bit of foolishness that serves no useful purpose. I think I'll just keep it around for times when I need a laugh.

24ga sheet copper peanut pearls, antique copper chainRead the comments (or add your own)

Beady Little Eyes says:LRC – I really like this design. Can’t believe you made it from pieces strewn on your work table. It has a very organic look – kind of like pearls on broken shells or bugs on leaves. I remember one rainy day when my cousin and I made an earthworm hospital and put all of the drowning worms on little leaves to save them. Too much information, huh. Guess I was a silly child.

dolllady aka Pam says:LRC I don’t know why you want to laugh at this design. I love it! Sometimes the “leftover” bits and pieces on your design table make the “tasiest” designs, in the same way that those bits of leftovers in the fridge makes one of the tasiest meals. That is what happened with these “leftover” previous project bits and pieces.

Little Round Chick says:BLE, an earth worm hospital…? Well why not? It may have been silly but I’ll bet you had a grand old time doing it. Be that as it may, I’m glad you like the necklace. I like the pearls on broken shell description. It is much kinder than calling it a bit of foolishness. Thanks for the compliments.

Little Round Chick says:Pam, you are so right. Sometimes “left overs” can be a real surprise. My attitude may well have been influenced by the trouble it gave me trying to get it balanced. Oh, well. Thanks for the comments and and compliments.
