Floral Woven Necklace set with Little Grape Flowers

About this design:

I started this piece with the grape triangles - added the flowers and leaves, then attached the triangles together, then wandered into a herringbone cube stitch, then added the vines and flowers. Wow, what a run on sentence.

Components:

Seed beads 11/0 Grape, Rainbow Cream and Green 15/0 seed beads Green Stainless Steel Ear Wires and Toggle Clasp

This is so unique, and complicated! It’s awesome. Whoever wears it is going be stopped by people commenting on it. I like the stitch used in the rope. It looks delicate. Lots of work in this piece.

Thank you KR.The rope is a 2 bead twisted herringbone – when they came together at the upside down V I beaded all four together to make a 4 bead herringbone stitch. The vines were an afterthought – didn’t like the big span of cream.

Wow BLE! You do the most amazing things with those tiny little seed beads. I love the color and sculptural quality. The vines are a special touch and tie the earrings in nicely. Beautiful work!

Thank you kye. I find peyote stitch (triangles) hard to do so I practice a lot. It’s such a versatile stitch- I’ve seen amazing pieces of jewelry done with it.

Lovely intricate design with a great color combination. This is a perfect set for Spring or Easter specifically. You are a true master of bead work.

Thanks LRC – I’m trying to get better by forcing myself to do harder things that I’m not used to. Definitely not a master- maybe someday if I try really hard.
