About this design:

Wire wrapped bracelet. I have a terrible addiction. Caffeine. Specifically iced tea so black you can't see through it. I've tried to quit many times. This time I lasted a few weeks. But I am anxious about the quarantine and I suppose this is better than drinking, so I have returned to my dark master, except I am reducing the strength greatly. Oh, did I mention that Jazz is also an addict and whines for her caffeine. She hasn't been enjoying the deprivation either. Here she is mooching her fix.

4mm rondells. 4mm bicones 1mm and 3mm silver spacer beads. 1 rectangular rhinestone. Craft Wire 20 guage, 24 guage, and 26 guage.

Our dogs and cats can’t resist tea either.
Good bracelet, for some reason ‘octopus’ popped into my mind when I saw the third picture.

Oh Stingray, that is so funny. As soon as I read this I saw an octopus too! Our animals are so spoiled, aren’t they? Normally I drink my tea black and plain, but I would occasionally add a little honey. Well, since Jazz came into my life, I had better have some honey in that tea or I get disapproval and a little whining. I created a monster because she had cancer when I rescued her and the vet said she might only have 6 months. She’s been with me 2 years now and is doing fine, but I gave her everything she wanted and now she is an entitled little dog, LOL. I have to do my jewelry work on the bed with her in my lap, or else there’s no end to the complaining. Thanks for making me laugh.

I too saw an octopus. so funny. Beautiful KR. I thought caffeine wasn’t good for dogs though. I may be wrong.

I see a beautiful cloud with sparkle & shimmer! I love the shape, and I bet it looks awesome on the wrist. I am so glad to hear that Jazz is doing well–what a cutie! Our dogs never went for the caffeine–just everything else we ate. :)

And here I’m thinking a fancy starfish! Love that pop of pink in the center.

Thanks guys. BLE, neither caffeine or honey are really good for dogs but I limit her. I’m trying to kick it myself as it causes me problems. I can’t say this is my favorite bracelet, but I put a lot of time into it so I figured might as well share it. It’s so boring being in quarantine, but I have asthma, and I am older. I’ve had pneumonia more than once just from the common cold, and I have to be around for the Diva dog, LOL, so I am staying home and looking for things to do. Let’s see if I can think of a new project. Hope you all are doing well.

Best of luck KR kicking the caffeine – I buy green coffee beans and roast them myself. I love coffee also. I’m staying home too. But I live near a resort and people are showing up here early this year. (Probably to get away from where they live.) They like to hang out in the supermarkets.
Can’t wait to see your next project. You take care of yourself and your Diva Dog Jazz.

I really enjoy how whimsical this piece is! I bet it must be so fun to wear! I need a break from pendants and chains, maybe I’ll give bracelets and earrings a try! I’ve been inspired by this piece, it’s just so pretty.

    K Ralston says:

Thanks Kristin. You do awesome pendants. I do very few of those and do lots of bracelets. I should do more pendants because people really like them, but we all have our own style and vision and over time we start to have our own style that others can instantly recognize. Mine seems to be evolving into something, but I don’t know what. I’m inspired by an artist named Eni Oken, and also Lisa Barth. Have a look at their stuff and maybe you will want to try different things. I watched a YouTube video by Raftark the other day. He’s really a master. He showed how to bezel a faceted gemstone. There’s always so much more to learn. It can be very exciting.

I love Lisa Barth! I have a few of her books! As well as several other artists. They’re definitely an inspiration.

Jazz is so adorable. Your bracelet is amazing. I don’t know how you guys do all that intricate wire wrapping. I’ve tried and failed many times.

    K Ralston says:

Thanks Kye. Believe me, I thought the same thing when I started. But I am the most stubborn person in the world, or so my mother told me, LOL. Try some earrings that are not too difficult, like the kind you can make with a jig. You can find tutorials on YouTube. I’m still trying to get better. It’s a lot of fun. I hope you don’t give up because I know you can do it.

Love your bracelet and Jazz! Went out for the first time in 8 days. I was craving my McDonald’s Mocha Frappe and was tired of cooking. Went to DQ for their fish basket and got a pitiful look from my Precious. She loves their pup cup ice cream cup. She had half of it on the 5 blocks to home. I had to remind her to stop and take a breath. I put it in the freezer and told her I would give it to her ater she ate her supper. She bugged and whined at me until I did give her the cup. She finished it and then ate part of her supper. She’ll finish it just before going to bed. Spoiled furbabies.
