Sweet Gems

About this design:

I purchased the White Impression Jasper and the seed beads from Lima. I usually put the donuts on cords, but I wanted to do something different this time. I am known for my messy wire wrapping, as you can see by my handmade clasp and jump ring.

I like the way you wrapped the seed beads around the focal. It gives it movement. The chain is lovely, too.

Nothing wrong with messy wrapping. It gives pieces a more organic look, which some, including me, prefer. It can also add strength and weight when you use a lot of wire. Things that look hand made are desirable as they will always be unique. I like the stone and I like the work.

Fun way to wrap a donut. Love he way the metallic seed beads pick up the colors of the crystals. Closure is fun also.

Agree that the seed bead is enhancement on the focal looks great and ties in the beaded chain to the design.

I love this necklace. The beading on the donut pendants reminds me of something out of the ocean. You chose the perfect beaded chain to go with the seed beads.

I think the beaded donut looks like a starfish laying on a sandy beach! I like the metallic finish on the seed beads adding a shimmer to the wrapped design. Great choice using a double strand effect on the beaded chain. I think this is a charming necklace. :)

I’ve never seen a donut wrapped with seed beads before. What a great look! I agree with Pam and CC-the donut looks like something from the ocean.

Thanks, ladies! I wasn’t thinking of a starfish when I made it, but I like the idea.
