Just Fiddling Around

About this design:

I was in my work room putting away some wire and found a small copper wire oval. It was empty. I thought about using the frame to make another tree of life pendant. After thinking about it I decided to do something else. So here is the "something else."

I wanted to string some wire in the frame and maybe put some beads on the wire. The first section of wire was totally blah even with a bead or 2. Lets add small circles made with the wire. Add two more wires with little circles in them. Then add some carnelian beads in different sizes and one copper bead. Now you have a copper frame with wire fiddling, little circles and beads hanging from a copper chain. From nothing to finished with a chain in one afternoon.

Components:

14ga and 20ga copper wire, carnelian beads, copper bead, hand made copper hook clasp, copper plate chain

This looks like it was fun to make. Simple and dainty looking. The beads and swirls in the circle was a great idea.

I love the added swirls & circles! I like how the framework is hammered, and the simple chain allows the attractive pendant all the attention it deserves. :)

This design was a spur of the moment thing. It wasn’t too difficult to make but tiny spaces can be a challenge. Thanks for the compliments everyone. I’m glad y’all like it

This is so lovely! The beads remind me of the red hot candies! I like how you did something so different and a great use of a frame. I have a few and they are quite neglected…

LRC- what a beautiful necklace! Carnelian and copper look so great together. So, as for the tree of life design, are they difficult? I’d love to try one. Is it best to use gemstone chips or what shape do you use?
