Miliefiore and Trillium Flowers
by Beady Little Eyes on 07/10/20
About this design:
Had the millefiore beads with the white and red flowers and decided to make a 2 strand necklace. I'm not really comfortable using tools - I usually just use a needle. So this was a little out of my comfort zone- crimps, crimp covers, jump rings.
Components:
11/0 seed beads - red, millefiore rectangles with flowers, trilium beads - red, rectangular beads (3 x 5 mm) - beige, 3 mm beads topaz AB, GF findings.Read the comments (or add your own)

MH says:Gorgeous! I love the trillium beads and love that you used the miliefiore beads (I have a large horde of them.) While “out of (your) comfort zone”, you know what, you did a great job!! Multi strand necklaces are fun, the more you do.

Robin nursechick says:Beautiful Beady! Love the color combination! I too have some Millefiore beads- can’t seem to come up with a plan for them. So they sit in a mason jar just watching the other beads come and go

kye says:This is so beautiful. I’m glad you showed how it looks when worn. It’s such a great design using a wonderful variety of beads. I need to work on using wire and crimps. For some reason it intimidates me. You did an excellent job.

Beady Little Eyes says:Wow – your lovely comments make me swoon. So nice. Robin and MH – use the Millifiore beads – you’ll be happy you did.
I have attached a sampler of chenille stitch – all chenille but different bead combinations. The yellow ones (a little off center) are 2 sizes of the same beads – so skinny in the middle,

Little Round Chick says:Great design with a wonderful combination of bead. I especially like the red trillium beads.
Now that you have conquered one set of tools it’s time to move on to a different set….like hole punches, tin snips, hammers, then on to chains, leather and sheet metal. I can see it now…Lucinda’s Sheet Metal and Seed Bead Art. What a novel idea.

Beady Little Eyes says:Hahaha LRC – I barely have enough room for beads – can’t imagine using hole punches. tin snips and hammers. (a whole different world to me).

Crystal Canary says:Beady, love how you picked up the red in the millefiore beads using the red trilium flowers! I also have a bunch of these beads and am always at a loss as to how to create with them. Your design really does them justice–the double strand layers are a wonderful way to showcase the beads.
