Copper and Blue Lariat

About this design:

Almost 40 inches long. Copper tiles and superduos, dark brown and blue seed beads make up this lariat. For some reason I just love lariats - probably the many ways they can be worn.

Beautiful lariat Beady! I love the southwest color. What stitch is this? I like the lariats too-you can wear them in so many ways-How long do you typically make them? I would like try a necklace using 6/0 seed beads (so I can see what I’m doing) and all different kinds and colors of pearls. Any advice?

Thanks for all of your wonderful comments.
Robin – This stitch is a right angle weave. This necklace is 39.5 inches – I made it long so it could be doubled. But you can make it any length you want (mostly they are around 30 -35 inches). I haven’t made any woven necklaces with 6/0 seed beads – would be large. But if you do I’d love to see it. It might work with a 3 bead herringbone – but the string might show. Maybe I’ll try it with 8/0s.
