Hmmm...

About this design:

When I made my last piece a mutual friend saw pictures of it and wanted something similar, though just a chain and not with a wrapped cab. This is what I came up with. Citrine, and amethyst with a couple wired links. The whole chain is approximately 32". Thankfully I used larger stones than I normally do in chain making!

Components:

Sterling silver, citrine (LB) and amethyst

So pretty, Khristin! I’m sure she’ll love wearing it. And just say, that using the detailed S hook clasps is an inspiration…were you thinking that the necklace could have an adjustable length component by removing short lengths of the necklace? Hmmm…

Sorry for the repeat, I thought I could edit the first comment. Evidently not.

You can never go wrong with citrine and amethyst together or separately. Add some sterling silver and you’ve got a classic piece of jewelry. This is definitely a versatile “go with everything – go any where” necklace. Love it!

Khristin – The citrine and amethyst look great together. And 32 inches is a nice length. I was also wondering about the multiple clasps- to change the length?

Thanks guys your comments always make my day! I thought about making the chain adjustable, but this time I made the those as links so they are closed… Wondering though if I ought to change that? I figured that they would be worn offset and not down in the middle like a pendant but traveling upwards… I’ve noticed the ladies that have my pieces tend to wear their necklaces that I’ve made like that to show off the clasp. So that’s where I got the idea.

Khristin, your work is always outstanding. The silver ‘links’ are great, and I wouldn’t change a thing. Offset focal elements are a favorite of mine–they add interest & a variety of wearing possibilities in a piece. Your friend will absolutely adore this necklace! :)
