Goodwill Beads

About this design:

The beads in this set were originally a bracelet that I bought at the local Goodwill store. Their color was what first caught my eye. I looked closer at the pattern on the beads and decided the price was right. The necklace and ear rings were made from an 8in bracelet with a few extra beads added. I think the beads are glass but they might be ceramic with a very high shine glaze.

Components:

glass beads from a deconstructed bracelet, crystal spacers, 22ga silver plate wire, salvaged antique silver color chain, sterling ear wires, Czech glass tear drop beads

Just love the wave pattern on the beads and the crystal spacers make them stand out even more. Lovely design and earrings also.

I get so excited when I find jewelry at second-hand stores or yard sales that I can cut apart & reuse the beads & parts. I like what you did with your great find! The glass beads have a wonderful effect with the two-tones of colors, and look nice with the silver wire & chain.

Thanks everyone. Thrift stores are such a great place to shop for jewelry. You can always find unusual things there that aren’t available in any other place. Sure will be glad when the Goodwill stores open up again.
