Deep In The Forest
by Crystal Canary on 09/18/20
About this design:
This bracelet was based on wonderful walks through the forest with all its sights, sounds, and aromas. My husband saw me finishing up the bracelet, silently stood there a while, then left in a hurry. He came back a bit later and surprised me with a delightful short narrative based on his childhood memories of walks in the forest. I will treasure his words forever. I wanted to share it with you too.
Components:
Green Girl deer/fawn charm; TierraCast bunny & bird; large hole owl bead; porcelain beads; Czech ovals; Agua Nueva Agate starcuts; Olive New Jade; Tigereye; Wood Jasper; faceted agate rondelles; glass teardrops; antique silver findingsRead the comments (or add your own)

Mary - Sweet Chick says:What a beautiful inspiration! I’m so in love with your design, it’s inspiring me to get back to beading.
But first! A stroll through the woods to capture the feel of your creation.
Let me add, the combination of your craft & your husband’s word-smithing is a perfect pairing!

Granny Nancy says:This is an incredibly detailed bracelet. Its so beautiful. I love that your husband got involved as you were working on it. Its so very awesome – I looked at it for a long time before I had soaked up all the featured you included. Its the most beautiful bracelet I’ve seen in a long time. And you used so many different gemstones. It absolutely awesome.

Crystal Canary says:All of you are such a wonderful support–Thank You! I had this project on the backburner for years. In a small bag was the deer charm & a note that said ‘forest bracelet with green teardrops for leaves’. I was so happy to find some time to finally see my vision to the finish. My husband also says Thank you for your kind words.

Crystal Canary says:All of you are so sweet–I do appreciate all the kind words. Wasn’t feeling well this morning, but the encouraging words are really uplifting. Thanks.
Robin–I didn’t fully understand your first question (probably the spellcheck); I like to use waxed linen for bracelets, but on this one I used beading wire. The large beads are porcelain with larger holes, so I hid the crimp under one of those. Hope that helps!
