The leaf is new to me. I love its shape. It goes well with the beads, and the sliding knot is a good idea. Does the knot slide easily when done with waxed Irish linen cord? Is the cord different from regular waxed Irish linen? What ply did you use?

Your necklace is beautiful Loriln! Your choice of beads is perfect for the leaf. The maroon cord looks awesome-This will be great for fall. Where did you hear gallimaufry meant nobody? I used that word as a collection of things (pearls)-hodgepodge (nurses dare not be in any kind of a hodgepodge-haha) the only exception to that rule is if you’re a new nurse. Are you new to the Lima blog? If so, welcome Loriln. PS -my bead room is definitely a gallimaufry!

Perfect beads for the rustic leaf pendant! I love the natural vibe of this necklace. Lipstick Ranch pieces are a favorite of mine. You did a fantastic job! :)

Thanks all for your kind words! I believe I used the 4 ply waxed Irish linen and it works very well with sliding knots. To Robin nc: I heard Gallimaufry on a podcast: “Nobody Listens to Paula Poundstone”. She uses it in her vocabulary song. She’s a quirky comedienne and her listeners refer to themselves as “nobodies” I am an old nurse and new to the Lima blog! Thanks again to all.
