Queen of the Nile

About this design:

I wish I had a better picture! This piece was inspired by the riches of Egypt, and Cleopatra herself.

Gold-plated fan connectors, black wooden rice beads, red pearls, gold square spacers, gold-plated magnetic clasp and gold-plated crimp bead covers.

Lynette, this is a great photo of your fab necklace! The colors and design are beautiful and your clasp has a definite Mid-East look about it! :D Great piece!

Very regal. I made a choker with 5 of the fan connectors a couple of years ago. I’ll see if I have a photo and post it if I do. :)

Here’s the picture of the fan choker. BTW it was 6 not 5 fans. :)

Oooh, this is lovely! Very Egyptian regal! This would go with most everything I have!

LRC, love what you did with the fans – is that gunmetal?

I think those are the same fans I used, lol! That is a great piece!!

They are the same fans, Lynette, just a few years older. :)

Chickie Sue, the chain is gunmetal but the fans are gold plated…pewter I think. LB has them in the TierraCast metal do-dahs, I think.

LOL…mine were a pair of earrings that were missing some beads. I took them apart and repurposed the fan connectors into the necklace. I made two pairs of earrings to go with it too!

Lynette, those earrings are beautiful! I am always taking things apart and remaking them into something else! Especially fun to do with things that I never wear anymore or that I bought in a store (gasp!) before I knew how to do this myself!

LRC, that is a fabulous necklace — you should post it separately for all to enjoy!!! :D
