Holiday Bazaar

About this design:

I exhibited at an elementary school holiday bazaar yesterday. Made a small profit and met some beaders who live one town over. So I consider it successful. Larry who insists on considering all of my time still does not not see the value of fairs. I'm also hoping the woman fromthe next booth calls for the amethyst and lilac cz necklace.

Nice fair set up, Jeanne. I really miss doing art fairs … can’t do it anymore due to having Fibromyalgia, which is a chronic pain disease. But I loved fairs when I was able to do them. Very effective table layout.

Nice booth design. My husband goes with me but doesn’t like it…..but that’s tuff!! I think shows are important to hear feedback and comments about pieces and your work in general….and it helps to give out cards and make contacts…and learn about good shows…I love going to shows!

Nice job. I have to ask, is the orange necklace with the large stones on the table really heavy, it looks like it is?

    Thank you all.
My problem with shows is I never feel like I enough inventory. I sold a bit at work during the previous week (more than at the show) and just didn’t have time to replenish.

The big sellers were my holiday earrings – Thank you Lorrie (bubbly chick) for the idea. They sold for $3 – $6. But they did keep people coming back.

Bah Humbug Larry! Any time you can get your product and your very pretty face out there in public is great marketing! And everyone knows how important marketing can be to selling. Your setup looks great and it really doesn’t look bare. If you sold, it was good. People outside your usual venue got to see you and see a sample of your products, very good! :D Keep on getting out there
it will pay off, Yeah! Those Islanders can be tough but they like the good stuff and you have it! Go girl!!

    Thanks Cookie
And Harriet – This time I made sure my cloth went to the floor! (you can hide a lot under there!
Still using some of Dad’s leftover fabric. Makes me feel like he’s watching over me.
The cloth on top is a set of curtains from our guest room. (formerly Grandpa’s room) And coincidently – their design name is Natalie, my mom’s name. – so I guess she was watching over too)

    Wow – I’m rambling

Thanks, Becky! That white thing came from AC Moore – it’s supposed to a stacking bin. I stood it on its back and and my darling hubby painted it for me.
