Be Happy

About this design:

I just love Jamaican colors. This long, long lariat can be worn so many ways. I have shown a few. I especially like the way it looks when halved, twisted and run through the loop. This was very fun. I wanted to add beads to the tassels but nothing I had looked right. Then I went into my back room and wow -I saw the squished rounds. At first I thought they were wood but too light. I believe they are polymer clay.

Components:

11/0 seed beads - Green, Black, Red, Yellow, polymer clay saucer beads.

Thank you all so much for your sweet comments. What I meant to say in my description was that I knew the beads were not wood because they’re too heavy. I now think they’re Magnesite and not clay. I don’t know.
Robin – the length is 48 inches – a real monster.

this was a straight herringbone tube until I got to the ends – the long stripes are twisted herringbone.

Oh! Beady – I had to comment on the stunning fall colors of this piece. It reminds me of the colors that my mother loved. She would always have a fall basket of indian corn, pine cones and leaves by the front door every Autumn. Your work is outstanding – and thank you for the sweet memory. <3
