Make New Friends

About this design:

I was thinking about the Girl Scout song, "Make New Friends" and decided to make a necklace using silver and gold. There is a reindeer at each end of the lariat. "One is silver and the other gold." I belonged to the Girl Scouts when young and loved it but I believe the song came later.

Components:

Seed beads 11/0 - Blue, Gold, Silver, Czech Glass Faceted Beads in Shades of Blue - 5 mm, Glass silver rounds - 3 mm, Glass Bicones - 4 mm, 6 x 8 mm Bellflowers Blue, Glass Superduos - Travertine with Gold, 18 x 18 Silver Reindeer, 18 x 20 Gold Plated Reindeer

This is so sweet! I love the change-off of color that the ends of the lariat–gold to silver charm & silver to gold charm. The blue flower buds really stand out and make a nice secondary wrapping focal as you’ve shown. Nice work Beady!

I like that you post lots of photos, especially close-ups of details! The CU of the reindeer shows how cute they are with designs on them.
