This looks so difficult. Did you have a pattern for the owls at least, or were you able to do this without a net, so to speak? Either way, it’s great. These owls are so cute. I love the dark bright color scheme. True art Beady.

You made me smile! What wonderful energy in this piece! Are you sure you don’t have a secret team of helpers cranking these out? I would be happy to make one of those owls! But the beads are so tiny.

Very cute. VERY artistic!! How do you do all this? And is your daughter beading too? (My daughters never quite got into making jewelry when I tried to interest them.)

How amazing is this. I always wonder how in the world someone puts something like this together. But we’re glad for those who have this kind of talent. What a superb lariat or suspenders or for glasses.

Thank you all so much for your sweet comments.
KR – I designed the owls using a graph but the branches and leaves were all freeform.
MH – Yes, my daughter beads with me occasionally – so much fun.
Melody – Glad it made you smile. You’re right though this took a long time to make.

Beady–Pure artistry!! This is wonderfully playful & would be so enjoyable to wear! I love the bright colors against the night sky you created with the beaded flecks of light using the gold & silver seeds. The different colored owls really add so much charm to the piece. Hoot, Hoot! This is some outstanding work! 8O

The black background for this piece really makes the vivid owls really pop! Thanks for all the closeups, so we can really appreciate you artistry.

Thanks for the great comments. This is a peyote stitch so each row only adds 1/2 of a bead width to each row, The beads sit on top of each other in a horizontal fashion – so the beads can be rolled between your fingers in a vertical motion which feels so nice.
Nancy – I love your idea of a glasses holder strap. (I actually did threaten to make suspenders for my husband. HaHa. He laughed.)

Many years ago I had a friend who made bracelets that had tiny scenes on them made of beads. You could do some bracelets with your owls that would be so cute, and wouldn’t take so long to make. I don’t remember how my friend ended the bracelets, whether they had clasps or not. I just remember being fascinated by the tiny scenes.

Your lariat is so amazingly cute! I also absolutely love your color scheme, all the pretty little embellishments, and those darling little owls, so very creative. When I first looked at it I saw cats, I love cats, so maybe I’ll take inspiration from you and try some cats. (Imitation IS the sincerest form of flattery!) Thanks!
