Sea Monster Necklace

About this design:

I started this necklace with the center first. It reminded me of a nature movie that featured sea creatures in the deepest part of the ocean where there is no light.

Seed beads 11/0 - Blues, Green, Purple, Black, Bronze, Cream -, 3.4 mm drop beads - Capri Blue, 2.5 mm X 5 mm - Czech Twin Two Hole Clear with Peach Lines, Silver Plated Magnetic Clasp 16 mm

I totally agree with your deep ocean thoughts! Love the little blue drops added to the spiral. I also like how you transition from section to section in your designs. I remember enjoying the ‘Undersea world of Jacques Cousteau’ and learned so much about sea life. Beady, I’d love to see a bracelet made the same as the front section with added sea charms, sand dollars, etc. Would be awesome to wear together. How many grams of seed beads does it take to make something like this? You surely must buy these in bulk!

I definitely get an undersea vibe. The colors are spectacular. You’ve got the blue of the sea, the white of the foam, green of seaweed and other colors of the plant life. Beautiful work. Must have taken some time.

I can just picture it…some where in the Caribbean…the dazzling blue green water…. the sun glinting off the waves. I can really get that vibe looking at your gorgeous necklace. Great job!!

Crystal – I also loved watching Jacques Cousteau. Sea creatures are so amazing. Love your bracelet suggestion. I weighed the necklace – only 23 gm. Not very heavy.

This reminds me of the weird fish that have “lights” running along their sides… Bio-luminescent blue beads wrapped around the center! Wow! Obviously I really like your sea monster necklace. :D

LRC – That’s what the center reminded me of also.
