Baubles

About this design:

I found these orange hoops in my stash. So I tried to follow a tutorial for a very fancy design on these types of hoops, with a lot of basket weave curves, but as you know I can never seem to follow directions. Are there rules or something? It just wasn't working and I decided to try something simpler. And yes, this is simpler as far as the wire work goes, but it didn't turn out to be so easy after all. It took quite a while to figure out what was trying to come out. I rather like what it decided to be.

Components:

Bauble hoops. Crystal drops with bead caps. 2 filigree rhinestone findings. 6 8/0 seed beads. 4 1mm silver beads. 2 6mm silver crystal rondells. 2 ear wires. 2 silver end cones. 18 and 26 guage silver toned wire.

These are very unique! I like unique pieces because they are one of a kind. That is the best part of handmade jewelry. I don’t like being in a room with only women and see many pieces of my jewelry in that room.

Thank you Kimberly, Pam, and Sweetjane for the encouragement. I think it is helpful to learn by watching and trying these tutorials. Even though I usually fail to create the piece I was going for, I pick up some tips. I guess if we make enough jewelry we start to have a particular style. I’ve noticed it in all of you as well. My greatest influence comes from Eni Oken. That’s who I want to be when I grow up, LOL.

So much wrapped up goodness to enjoy! All the little extras make these special. It’s good to keep learning whether thru books, videos, or visiting this site and trying something new. And sometimes, we just need to deviate and try it our own way!

I like what they decided to be too. Sometimes wire has a mind of its own. It’s nice to go with the flow and end up with a totally new way. Especially when you end up with unique beauty.

What an unusual pair of ear rings. They are a real “eye catcher.” Love the color and the fantastic design.

Another wonderful design KR. Funny how you can start a piece and it takes you in a completely different direction than planned. It happens to me all of the tome also. I love these fun colorful earrings.

Colors I would not expect to work together, and yet, they look great. Nice design.
