Ocelot Patterened Jade Set

About this design:

I've posted a picture of the ocelot bead necklace before but decided to post it again with its bracelet and ear rings. This is definitely an ensemble for a larger woman. Not good for shorties. We would get weighed down.

Components:

jade with an applied pattern, copper beads, spacers, sticks and pendant, antique copper chain, ebony and sandal wood beads (in the bracelet), niobium ear wires, hand made copper hook clasp. memory wire

So pretty, Nancy! Love that the copper picks up the small bits of tans in these beads. Your hammered pendants are a wonderful addition to the beadwork.

Short women can wear chunky jewelry and big statement pieces, they just have to have big personalities. Don’t talk yourself out of customers. I give Carmen Miranda (5′), Frida Kahlo (5’3″), and Dolly Parton (5′), as examples.

Love the work you do with hammered copper. Well, Melody says we can wear big stuff if we want too, LOL. So we will. It is a pretty substantial statement piece.

Great set! I totally agree with Melody. Personalities, big or small, are usually reflected in jewelry choices. I thought this necklace was fantastic the first time you posted it–but the addition of the bracelet & earrings throws it over the top! Love how you used the memory wire in the bracelet with all the rows of ‘beady’ goodness; and the little rectangles in the earrings are perfect. Very eye-catching!

I love what you do with copper! BTW, Ruth Bader Ginsburg was 5’1″.

I have always admired all your copper work…it has inspired me to try my hand at it. Maybe with my new hands I’ll do better! I do not think it too bold for petite women…the whole set is fabulous!

Ok. I give up. This set would be great for an under 5 ft. person. If Ruth Bader Ginsburg can do it I guess I can too. But I’m not as thin as she was.
