That's Wild

About this design:

I was in my work room sorta putting things away when I noticed I had a bunch of small triangles I had cut some time ago. What to do with them....?

Since I had so much fun playing with the little gold squares why not do something similar with the little copper triangles. So I clipped the points, filed the edges, punched holes in the center and strung them on a wire with rustic cut turquoise heishi beads. I included turquoise color magnesite barrels to give them a bit more visual weight then hung them from hand made circular copper ear wires.

Are they wild or just weird?

Components:

26ga copper sheet metal, 20ga copper wire, turquoise heishi beads, turquoise color magnesite barrels

They definitely do look like they should be in the ears of someone with long hair and a long neck. They may not be as long as they appear in the picture.

These are very unique and I’m trying to think of what my first impression is. I want to say modern or new age, and yet there’s a hint of something else. A bit of hippie? Maybe something a bit Native American? Probably get that from the turquoise and metal. Anyway, well done. They are cool.

You are right BLE, they do have a bit of a pagoda look.
Pam, I measured them and including the ear wires they are 2 1/2 inches. The copper and turquoise section is just shy of 2 inches.

Love these! I think the copper triangles are magnificent & really like how they poke out every-which-way in the design. They look glorious spaced between the turquoise. LRC, you’ve got some fantastic visions–very inspiring. :)
