An Odd Pendant

About this design:

I've had this odd pendant for quite awhile and never known what to do with it. It's actually a Polychrome Jasper. Anyway...I'm debating on weather or not to keep the heart on it.

Components:

Polychrome Jasper pendant, Lapis, Sodalite, Blue Haze Agate, silver chain, ceramic heart and waxed linen

The monochrome keeper pendant is beautiful! With that said, personally I feel that the heart helps to connect it to the rest of the necklace. If it weren’t for the heart I would feel the pendant didn’t belong on that necklace. I love the necklace and the pendant, just not together.

The pendant is quite interesting but I can see how it would be a challenge to think of a use for it. I do like the addition of the heart, even though I personally never incorporate hearts because I hate them! LOL. But I am pretty much alone in that and you do need a little something there. People will love the heart. It’s very pretty. Don’t listen to me at all. I can’t say why I don’t like them. It makes no sense, but I give away any that come my way. Anyway, the lapis tubes are also pretty. I like your necklace Sweetjane, heart and all.

Jane, I love the heart and agree with Pam- it ties it in with the chain. I also like the variations of blue. It’s perfect the way it is!

sweetjane – I love the pendant with the little heart. The heart has a fascinating pattern and it brings all of the colors together.

Jane, that is one of the most unique pendents I have ever seen–very cool spot on it. Kinda looks like the ‘time tunnel’ to me. It does create a platform for many possibilities. How big is the focal? I think the ringed chain works well with its size. I like your creative innovation in putting jewelry together. Helps me get my mind out of its box!

Thanks for all of your comments!! I decided that the heart didn’t belong there….so I put a bit of sari silk there instead…it seems to work better. The only other thing I would have done different is to add another strand.
