Kokomo--Swap Anyone?

About this design:

I posted an Iphone pic of this several weeks ago but thought I'd post the professional shot now that I have one. The focal bead in this necklace was one I received from Lynda during the Orphan Bead Swap--I adore it! It finally gave me the inspiration I needed to use the mosaic turquoise (magnesite) beads that had been in my collection forever.

I was thinking it might be fun to do another, somewhat different swap--a Triplet Bead Swap. Each participant would send beads in groups of 3--which would make it easier to incorporate them into designs. Maybe three groups of three to start out with? What do you think?

Orphan ceramic (?) focal bead; faceted carnelian rounds, magnesite ovals, copper freshwater pearls, copper clasp.

Beautiful!!! I know what you mean about the focal giving you the inspiration to put a design together. Sometimes I just have to shelve things I have bought until the rest of the “inspiration” comes along.
    This is great!!! :D

Susan, this photo is even better than the first one — and I thought that was a terrific one of this gorgeous necklace!!! I have a feeling Lynda created that focal — if so, it’s polymer clay. It just looks like “her” to me! ;) Wonderful design and colors, Susan! :D

I’m in for the swap this time! Actually, I have no choice, given your heading — I live in Kokomo, IN!!!!!! ROTFLOL I did a double take when I saw my city’s name listed….. 8O

It’s beautiful, Susan! The focal bead is one of mine. It started life off as a butt-ugly apple green howlite barrel bead and I covered it with polymer clay and embossed it. You have complimented it perfectly!

Wow, Linda, I never thought to use butt-ugly beads that way! I have worked with PC to a limited extent…I think I will give that technique a try. The bead hole will be built right in. :)

Glad there is interest and details on the Triplet Swap to follow soon. But in the meantime, if you want to participate, please email your name and home address to me at:
