Green African Opal Meets Chrysoprase

About this design:

When I unpacked my LB order the Green African Opal focal piece and the chrysoprase introduced themselves. The result was this necklace.

Green African Opal faceted freeform, Chrysoprase mini-nuggets, Czech firepolished crystals, copper beads and toggle, bronze 15/0 rocailles

Your focal bead is the green african opal pendant correct? It isn’t the 16″ strand of green opal free form chunk, is it? It is a beautiful pendant which ever it is and I think it is in love with the chrysoprase. I know I love this green beauty.

The focal bead is LB’s pendant Green African Opal. At MERchick’s suggestion I got a few and love every one. They have varying amounts of the dark coppery brown matrix but are primarily shades of pastel greens mixed with cream.

    I love this necklace too.

Every time I order Green African Opal from LB it’s so much fun to open the package and check out the beads. Each is slightly different but beautiful. Same way with Ammonite’s they just posted … More beautiful in person and each is unique! SLS

Love it, love it, love it!! Now I know what to do with SOME of my Chrysoprase nuggets!!!

And I have to agree, every time I open my package of Green African Opal pendants, it’s like opening a Cracker Jack box to see what the prize inside will be!!! :-D

Here’s a pic of a necklace/bracelet that I made with the Green African Opal, deep green pearls, gray stick pearls an diagonally drilled Hill Tribe silver cubes. It sold quickly! SLS

So springy! The chrysoprase really goes well with the opal, and I love the contrast with your firepolish beads and the copper! Very pretty!

Thanks, Shannon for posting another design using the Green African Opal. This is such a versatile stone–it can be used with so many different colors, textures and metals.
