Pearl sunburst

About this design:

This is a chainmail necklace I finished in a class at Nomadic Notions in Austin Sunday evening. I've started on another one, but I'm having trouble wrapping my brain around it. Keep having to redo the same steps. Going out of town now...

fw pearls, ss, Czech glass, Swavorski crystal dangles

How do you get the wire through those rotten little pearl holes? I always have trouble with wire and freshwater pearls. I’ve tried a bead reamer to no avail.

    This is gorgeous.

Atomic toad you need to use 26ga more than likely..some will take 24 ga…You can mix your wire size if you need to but try that 26ga is also good for small gemies..

Thank you so much, EVERYONE!!!!!!! Sorry to be late with my thanks, but I just added it to the Gallery before leaving home Wednesday for a national conference in Dallas. Just got back about an hour or so ago.

I will try to add a pic of it on sometime soon. I wore it several times at the conference and received many compliments.

The wire is 24 g. to go through the pearls.

I have probably about 8–10 hours in this. It took longer because of all the bound loops. I’m making a second one with simple loops…haven’t got it together yet, though.

Thank you all again for all the sweet compliments. They are all very much appreciated!
