Apatite for Snakeskin

About this design:

Snakeskin is such a beautiful stone with a surprising tint of light blue/green that I thought played well with the green apatite - I love causual pieces that let the stones do all the talking!

Snakeskin flat ovals, green apatite squares, smoky quartz top-drilled nuggets, copper twisted heishis, and copper dot and leaf toggle (all LB)

I agree with Alice. I had no idea the snakeskin would be so pretty…guess I was a little put off by the name. (We already had to dispose of a rattlesnake in our yard this year. Can’t have that where the grandchild and pets walk.)
This is such a nice design, and really shows how nice this stone works up. :-)

Wow! Thanks Alice, you’re too kind! And Harriet, this snakeskin is guaranteed not to bite! Welll…it did bite me in the wallet but it wasn’t fatal! Hahaha :)

Shannon this is lovely, I’m fond of the snakeskin too, and you’ve put together a fabulous piece.

It also works really well with the Mexican Painting Stone.

You have given me inspiration. I bought some Green Snakeskin from Lima a few months back, and it’s been sitting in my stash. I really lked the colors and patterns in it – but haven’t been able to come up with other stones that I liked with it. Never thought to put it with Smokey Quartz. Thanks for sharing your piece. It’s lovely. Really cool use of color and textures. And thanks for the inspriation.

Hi Mavis and Bead-itudes(neat name!) Thanks for such kind words – I loved the snakeskin but wasn’t sure what it would go with – pure serendipity that the green apatite was a good match! I’m so glad you like it – and the snakeskin is priced right to play with! :)
