Your crazy chickens are crazy good! They really are neat little pictures. Did you ever think about enlarging one of the blocks to about 5″ X 7″ and framing it?
Love, love, love all of your bead work.

Thank you all so much. Chicken antics are so fun to see. They’re very sweet animals.
LRC – this necklace starts with 20 beads. I figured if I want a 5 inch wide picture I’d have to start with about 73 beads. Oh no. But you could make a very detailed picture.
I did manage to get a recreation of my sweet Henelope.
Yes Pam – It did take some time.

Thanks Kimberly – Yes, that was Henelope. She was an amazing friend and chicken. Killed by a neighbor’s dog. You’re right – she’ll always be special to me. Animals are so sweet.

Oh no!! I’m so so sorry , what an awful experience …my dad’s dog killed my duck when I was 21 ….I never got over that:( Henelope looks like she was a wonderful helper and listener …was she a Red ?

  17. Beady Little Eyes
    Beady Little Eyes says:

Hi Kimberly – Yes, Henelope was a Rhode Island Red. She was the Pecker In Chief. I don’t know if we ever get over the death of our pets.

Wow, Wow, Wow!! This is awesome! I’ve been hoping you were going to do a chicken stitch, and this was definitely worth the wait. Henelope was the first one I saw & my smile went from cheek to cheek. I called hubby over right away to check this out–his words were: ‘Outstanding!’ I have a passion for these little creatures, and all the ’tiles’ capture the essence and spirit of their character. Splendid work Beady–absolutely spectacular! 8O
