Bracelet Blues and...

About this design:

I had the connector and needed to put it into a piece but had trouble finding enough of the right blue beads. I had plenty of the purpley colors (go figure). Some blues are not the right hue and I nearly mixed some gemstones in but the final product is all glass beads. I do like the finished product but one or two beads don't really fit in.
The last two pictures are of a couple other bracelets I completed this week. I did combine gemstones in the last one. Seemed to fit.

Components:

Lots of Czech glass beads from LB! And, lobster clasps and chain and TierraCast small Cross pendant and Crawford Lavender waxed linen (LB). Last bracelet has some vintage glass along with Pietersite, green line jasper, ocean jasper, some other kind of jasper, coral, Bronzite, Greek bronze Cross Pendant and Greek Bronze (plated) Roped Barrel 5mm(LB) and finally some antique brass beads from Cameroon, all of Walnut brown waxed linen.

Jogi – All three bracelets are so pretty. You chose some beautiful beads for all three. They are all so different but so interesting. Wonderful work.

These are all wonderful!! Yes, matching blues and purples is a challenge sometimes…but you did a great job. Sometimes I think I put colors together that shouldn’t be…but an old artist friend of mine once told me…all colors of nature go together….and it’s not about matching, it’s about blending.

Thank you, everyone! Jane I love the comment about the blending of colors! I have seen the butterflies and birds to prove that all colors can go together! I need to remember that. It will help me use what I have. Kimberly, I have really loved this artist of the connectors and she has made some pieces with messages for me. BLE, Bev, Pam, Jane and Kimberly, thank you again!

I love your style of these bracelets – each one is so unique and each definitely has its own character. I am loving the color palette for each one, but the last one with the browns and golds really draws me in. Great work!

Great work Jogi! What a beautiful selection of bracelets–each with it’s own distinctiveness. I love each one of them! When deciding what bracelet to put on in the morning, I enjoy having a selection of differing styles to chose from to match how I’m feeling that day. The first one is peaceful, the colorful one is playful, and the last one is natural & grounded. Love how you have created three very original styles that all ‘feel’ so different. :)

Thank you! I am going to have a sale of sorts and decided I would use these and some of my funkier pieces and earrings. We will see how they sell!

GZ, I appreciate that. I hadn’t used the gemstones but I felt like I needed something to represent sorta ancient. Rocks and coral and the antique brass beads seemed to be the best choices from what I have! I made one similar to it for me before I pulled out the gemstones, my bad.

CC I often put things away if I don’t fit the feeling for the piece, that day.

My favorite is the purple and blue bracelet. It reminds me of the prayer we said before meals when I was a child. God is kind, God is good, and we thank him for this food. By his hand we must be fed. Give us Lord our daily bread. Amen.

However, I really like all three of these bracelets. You have chosen beads to complement the focals, and you did this very well. I would be leery of wearing the Ancient Of Days bracelet as people might think I was referring to myself, since I am getting up there in years–ha-ha.
