Pinky and The Brain

About this design:

These beads are so pinky it reminded me of an old cartoon called Pinky and The Brain. Every episode The Brain tries to take over the world. His constant question is, "Are you pondering what I'm pondering?" Well are you, LOL? This is inspired by Sweetjane and her tassel bracelet. My tassel turned into a splay instead but at least I finally got something done.

6/0 silver lined seed beads. Assorted crystals. 2 rhinestone spacers. 11/0 gold seed beads, and a piece from my unfinished objects.

Wonderful sparkly cuff KR. Love the flower. This is a special blingy bracelet. It must feel good also.

Never saw Pinky and the Brain though they look familiar. So funny.

Thanks ladies. I rarely do much with pink but these beads are so flashy that I wanted to use them. And Beady, until you said it I didn’t see the flower, LOL, but there it is, entirely unintentional. I wanted to put the UFO piece off center and have some kind of tassel on the bracelet. That didn’t really work out so I just stitched the beads down in a splay. But yep, it’s a flower. How funny. I’m lying in bed pampering my injured arm whilst the house goes to heck. It’s like a throbbing touth ache in the arm, but I ordered a compression garment and maybe that will stabilize it better. Should be here tomorrow. Ms Soup is getting bored with all this lying around. Meanwhile the theme of Pinky And The Brain keeps running through my head.

Gorgeous bracelet K. I always love your seed bead bracelets! It may have taken a while, but look at the end result. I vaguely remember the cartoon…but it’s a great name.

Pink!!! Love it. I am not a tiny seed bead person so I am always amazed at a finished piece. This one will capture everyone’s gaze. Great job!

Beautiful pink! That’s a lot of tiny beads. Did you do that on a loom, or is it one of those off loom stitches? Glad you decided to do it because it is so pretty, and seeing it cheers me.

Hey Melody. Anything that cheers us up these days a good thing. This is even count peyote stitch. No loom. It’s the easiest peyote stitch in my opinion, and more importantly I can do it. I recently learned a way to do odd count that finally works for me, but generally I struggle with peyote and don’t do the more complicated stuff. Thank you Jogi and Sweetjane. I haven’t really had a lot of ideas or motivation for some time, but I bought a book of really blingy designs on Amazon that I hope will give me ideas. I think I am going to invest in a few good beading books. I used to have a bunch but let them go years ago. Might have been a mistake. I purge things every once in a while. If I didn’t I would be on Hoarders, LOL.

So funny KR. Hope your arm is doing better. I think most beaders could all end up on Hoarders.

KR, I wasn’t familiar with Pinky and the Brain, so I watched an intro video on YouTube. Now I can’t get it tune out of my head–just keep repeating it! The pink seeds are a beautiful backdrop for your lovely ‘flower’ piece from the UFO pile. I’m really liking these wider bracelets that you have been making. Lots of bling that will brighten any day. Give little Noodle a hug for me–sounds like she likes to participate too.

Crystal. I couldn’t find any full episodes on YouTube either, but I remember my favorite episode was called The Happy Helmet. The Brain creates a helmet with a dial on it. He puts it on Pinky and says, “And this dial will determine how happy you’ll be!” It just had all this twisted humor that went over the kid’s heads but was priceless.

Hahaha omg !!! You all make me laugh :) I vaguely remember that episode but I am laughing because whenever I see one of those blue got junk trucks I shudder because I know I could be on an episode of hoarders and I would be the lady crying because I can’t let a bead go :)

Many years ago I watched Pinky and the Brain with my husband and son. My son had a friend that wasn’t too swift and they called him Pinky… unkind but appropriate… Now about your Pinky bracelet… It has a lovely shimmer to go along with the bling and flash. I admire any one who can do peyote stitch even count or odd. I tried it once and that was enough. 12ga wire is easier and I can see it. Thread a needle? Not gonna happen.
