Gotta Thing For Birds

About this design:

I saw something I'd done sometime ago looking at my old pins. It gave me the idea to try and patina one of many that I have of this bird. So I used Gilders paste...and had to apply many coats. I think it turned out well. I found it today off to the side of where I take my pictures. I guess I had forgotten about it.

silver bird, Czech glass leaves and flowers, PC bead, looks like Chrysocola sp?, Blue Haze Agate, silver ring that says harmony, turquoise chain and silver chain....I know a lot of these are from LB. I get bags from Nancy that say "thanks Nancy".

Jane, I love everything you do because you put such interesting pieces together to make the whole. I really like the funky bird. It just ties it together. If I am honest, I think this bird would go well on so many things.

I really love this bird. The patina gives it such a unique look. Actually, unique isn’t really the word I am looking for, although it is. I just can’t think of it. But it reminds me of something you would find in an old jewelry box, some treasure of a previous generation. The whole piece is so pretty. Happy Thanksgiving Sweetjane. You are always working, even on Holidays.

Very nice Jane. I like the playfulness of the design with the bird & green leaves. The included message on the Harmony ring in a nice touch. I’ll need to look into getting some Gilder’s pastes. I’ve been enjoying the different uses you’ve been showing us lately.

Crystal…I really like Gilders Paste, it is a nice soft color, and you can use as much or as little as you want. I guess the only problem is it dries out fast…but you can rejuvenate it with mineral spirits.

Very unique Jane! I love the bird. I’ve seen guilders paste before, do you apply it with a brush? is it mainly used a metals? Love the combination of beads you used- and as always-it’s perfection. Love your work!

Robin….I always just rub it in with my fingers….and yes it’s for metals.

This is a perfect example of a sweetjane design. Unique combinations of components and a great mix of color. Love the birdie!

Guilders paste is a great go to product. I haven’t used it in years but you can always depend on it to create a great effect.

Thanks you all!! I actually like this, as well. Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving. Here we go…how many days until Christmas? I’ve got a sale going on and had two sales from it. My phone goes cha-ching every time I make a sale…it’s very cool.
