About this design:

I may have gotten a little carried away, but I like the way the red luster beads looked against the turquoise color.

Turquoise colored Howlite beads, donut and nuggets, red luster beads, silver 20g wire, silver ear posts and silver extender chain.

Some asked about my long absence. I was at a crafts show, the lady with the booth next to me took a break and I watched her booth. Then I took a break. When I returned, she was gone and so was all of my stuff. Every piece of jewelry I had made. Took me a long time to start beading again. :(

Omg !!! That is awful , I never would have imagined another crafter would do such a thing ….I am too trusting I suppose …I am so so sorry you went through that and I wouldn’t feel much like beading either after an experience like that ….your set is very pretty and if this is getting carried away I think you just should allow yourself to :) the result is wonderful

First off, you didn’t get carried away. These are great pieces! Secondly, I agree with Kim that it was awful what the other crafter did to you. I believe in Karma and the threefold law. It will come back and bite her where the sun don’t shine. I’m glad you are creating and sharing with us. :)

This is gorgeous! I can’t believe anyone with a booth would still that low. I agree with Bev, it will come back and bite her sit on it to the point she may have to pay on her tummy for awhile. After all, I was taught that paybacks are far worse than the crime.

That is so terrible Nutkitten. I’m glad you are starting again. Don’t let the moral failings of others deprive you of the joy of doing what you love. As to Karma, I do believe in it, but we don’t need to think about that or even waste our precious time hoping for it. It’s more important that we don’t let go of our own values as our world normalizes crime and selfishness. I don’t know about you but I never want to loose my integrity as so many have. Someday values will return to our world. Until then leave the consequences to a higher power. Just enjoy your art.

Beautiful work. I also love the way the turquoise and red look together.

Too bad about the skank. She used you so badly – nasty woman.

NK, I am so sorry to hear about what happened to you at the show. I can’t imagine what I would be feeling as I walked back and saw all my things gone. That is such a horrible experience–for someone to stoop so low & hurt another in that way is horrendous. The world is steadily sinking to lower & lower standards, and the consciences of people are doing the same. We all need to try hard not to let other’s actions take away our spirit to do what we love. Your set is beautiful. Definitely a winning color combination. I absolutely love the way you wrapped the donut in the bracelet–stunning focal.

NK…. I think everyone has said it all. We can’t do anything about the past..or the present. Do what we can today, by living spiritual principles…I have known people who seemingly got away with their dishonesty . But it’s not up to me to pass judgement on these people. It’s so good that you are creating again. And no…you didn’t get carried away…it’s a great piece!

Your story is shocking. And KRalston is right. Live with our integrity & values & let God deal with judging & the result. I always say—God sees everything & has a looong memory!

As for your jewelry, it’s so fun! I bet it was fun to make too. These colors definitely make a great pairing, like turquoise & coral. Keep on creating & enjoying.

special place in a very hot spot for people like that. I would hope that the show had enough info to catch her. Otherwise, pretty pieces. I often think I have overdone something only to reassess it and like it more.
