At Peace with the Blues

About this design:

So, I tried my hand (or should I say my wrist, lol) at an asymmetrical bracelet. I don't know how some of you add so much stuff!

Stone peace sign, different shapes of blue glass beads, large hole beads, silver flower spacers and blue chain.

I like it…it’s a great blue color. I know when I’m making something…usually a bracelet…asymmetrical.,,and one side has smaller beads than the other side. I will add a piece of chain, or another strand of smaller beads…to even it out. I think you’ve made a great start!

The blues and silver in this are gorgeous, and I always love a peace sign. As to asymmetry, I always marvel that you ladies can make that work. I’m trying to remember if I have ever managed to pull that off successfully. Not that I recall. I don’t seem to be able to visualize how that will look. But your’s is perfect. Seems perfectly natural and balanced even as an asymmetrical item.

Love the blue. This is wonderful.. I always have to put my bracelets on a board and then I think about things to add for balance.

NK, I think your asymmetrical design is great! How in the world did you frame the longer beads with smaller beads? Very cool idea. When I make these types of designs, I’m always worrying about the weight balance. So if I use multi-strands on one size, I up the size of the beads opposing them so it will hang neutrally when worn. I hope you will continue to try your hand at these types of designs–they are fun, stretch the mind, and are soooo much fun to wear! Terrific job for sure! :)

The beading threaded is folder over the bottom of the peace sign so there are actually four strands, 2 go thru the center bead and 1 on each side strings the other beads.

I tried Sweetjane’s suggestion and added chain on the thin side.
