Dainty Dream

About this design:

A change from the bigger clunky bracelets that I often make, but I like delicate ones as well. I only had to redo it 3 times - rrrr. I spent the whole day on it while songs ran through my head, and then I was taken back in memory to my very young days in school and regional choirs. It is funny that I haven't thought about those times for so long. And I asked myself how come we spend so much time thinking about all the unpleasantness of the past, and never think about those few times when we were really happy or having fun. There's far too few of those experiences, and far too many we can never resolve. The memories of fun are the dainty dreams. Today I had dainty dreams and made a dainty bracelet.

Components:

4mm rondells. 21/0 seed beads in 2 colors, metallic silver and garnet. Rhinestone bead balls. Superduos in silver. Lobster clasp. Beading thread.

Wow KR. I love your dainty bracelet. So beautiful. I’d love to see a close-up.
You’re so right – we keep going over our mistakes in our heads, We should concentrate on the happiest times.

Beautiful bracelet! It looks like a fun design. However, 20/0 beads! I can’t imagine working with beads that small. I can not see myself working with 11/0 beads.

Good morning ladies. Pam, I meant 11/0 beads. Sorry about that. I don’t know if they even make 21/0 beads but they would certainly make you blind, LOL. Beady, I will try to post a better picture close up. I think the bracelet is prettier than it appears here, but I am not the best photographer.

KR what a beautiful dainty bracelet indeed! Your beading skills are still spot on. We all have times we have restart our projects and spend all day doing so. I’ve got to say though that when you make a mistake with these delicate seed beads, it much more difficult than with bigger beads. In the meantime, sing on and enjoy the music!

This is just gorgeous KR …. Love the colors you chose too….This time of year when I’m working on ornaments or a beading project is always when those pleasant memories flood my mind …I don’t really know why we hold onto the not so pleasant moments like we do and for the wonderful ones it’s almost like we need a reminder to bring them back …then again maybe that’s what makes them so special ….and I do use size 15 beads a lot as stoppers in my beadwork I can not imagine what 21/0 would be like LOL …ooooh my

Beautiful! It’s evident that good, pleasant memories yield wonderful results! It is a lovely bracelet Kathleen. Your thought-provoking question definitely merits deep consideration–why do we spend so much time thinking about all the unpleasantness in our lives and not the many good things both past & present? May we all fill our minds & hearts with upbuilding thoughts. Thanks for the reminder to do so.
