Valentines garland

About this design:

I always get a little sad after I take the holiday decorations down but I have never decorated for valentines day ....I decided to use the lima bead felt rounds and add them to some fun felted shapes I picked up at a local sheep and wool festival last fall to make a valentines / woodland garland

Lima beads felt rounds , hemp cord , embroidery needle

The felt mushrooms are cute! Are those other focals trolls? Or babies in bunting? Where do you hang your garlands?

I believe they were supposed to be nomes but troll works as well :) I hang them on the curtain rods , on a hutch , across the mantel or around the coffee bar…I haven’t decided where I’m putting this one yet but I’ll post a pic once I figure it out

What a beautiful garland! I didn’t take my tree down nor the nativities last year. I have decided to leave my tree up this year also. I will change the decorations as I have decorations for all year round. I have snowflakes and icicles now.

Pam …what a great idea to just change out the decorations on the tree….I have debated seriously about not taking my tree or nativity down either ….if the plants didn’t need the window or I didn’t need them in my main living space so badly I probably wouldn’t take them down the past couple years I have just allowed the things that bring joy rather than be shamed into doing things the traditional way ….I think it’s important to celebrate each day and if something brings you joy ….as long as it isn’t hurting anyone go ahead and do it :)

This is so adorable Kim! I made a felt garland for Christmas and gave it to my neighbors because I didn’t know what to do with it. This is really using your creativity!

Kimberly- I love the garland! That would be adorable on your coffee bar! I agree with Pam- why not leave the tree up and decorate it differently whenever the mood hits! I have house garland up on my kitchen window. As you can see my attempts to save my succulents while it’s cold – the kitchen look crazy – oh well!

How cute is this? I especially love those nomes. They remind me of some characters in the Dilbert cartoon who lived in a land of mud. This is so great Kimberly. You don’t ever have to let go of the holidays in your heart if you don’t want to.
