Oasis
About this design:
My friend Tracy has been subtly hinting that her "jeweler" hasn't been doing much lately, and she has mentioned wanting an amythst pendant. I had 3 of these amythst teardrops so I sat in my oasis with the wildlife and the pups and started trying to get inspired. I wired in a gemstone on the front of the bail. I think this one came out well.
Components:
20 and 24 guage gold toned wire. Teardrop amythst. Faceted marquis cut lemon quarts gemstone.Additional Images:

K Ralston says:Thanks everyone. Tracy likes it so now I will think about the earrings. It’s been so long since I did a real wire wrapped piece that I am sitting out here in the oasis wondering why my hands feel so stiff. Arthritis maybe? But duh, it’s the wire and maybe a little old age stuff to. Henri and I are sick with allergies (Spring is obviously here where I live) Ms Soup has wet eyes and nose too, but Henri has been in real trouble, hacking and trying to breathe. He really scared me. So he’s been in mom’s intensive care unit. He even got homemade chicken soup, along with all mom’s herbal remedies and a little extra antihistamine and some heart support formula I buy online. I gave him a breathing treatment by half filling a hot water bottle and holding the opening very close to his nose. He’s a lot better, though not perfect. So I am going to take a nap. We both need some extra rest.
